DVD Transfers
We can copy most consumer video formats to DVD. We can handle Beta 2 and 3 with or without HiFi sound , VHS and VHS HiFi, Mini-DV, 8mm and Hi8 video tapes. We can dub most foreign VHS tape formats to the US standard NTSC.
We need titling information for a more pleasing result. Our equipment is capable placing both track titles and disk titles on the DVD menu. It speeds up the duplication process if we know how long the master recording is. Length errors will result in lower quality video.
For example, you bring in a recycled video tape of ante Sue’s wedding. On the back end is several hours of 3 year old General Hospital episodes. Our equipment will report the tape length as 5 hours, 30 minutes of wedding and 4.5 hours of GH. Not knowing if the GH is important I set my equipment for the 5 hours which provides a really poor picture on many large screen sets.
Pricing for transfer is 30.00 per two hour tape. DvD copies are 15 per DvD. If you wish editing cost is 20.00 per hour.
We can also make copies of DVD’s made in these new DVD camcorders. The disk as to be “finalized” in order for our equipment to read it. Without finalization the disk can only be read in the camera that made it. Also we can duplicate non-copyrighted DVD’s.
Our media is DVD-R. Some first generation DVD players may not play this format but most people have replaced these with newer more capable units.
